Jerry Lynn Adkins

- Savannah, GA - Jerry Lynn Adkins, 56, died March 18, 2010 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born in Huntington, West Virginia, son of the late Willis and Mary Brown Adkins. He was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia earning an Associates Degree. Mr. Adkins retired as a manager after 31 years of service with CSX Railroad and was a United States Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He attended Faith Family Church in Canton, Ohio and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Railway Signalmen. His second father, Wendall Cremeans preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife Cathy Jo Adkins of Green, OH, formerly of Richmond Hill, GA; son, Samuel C. Adkins of Green, OH; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli Jo Adkins Anderson and Michael Anderson of Savannah, GA; sister, Carletta Susan Jamison of Jackson, MS; brother, Willis Gail Adkins of Huntington, WV; grandchildren, Catherine Leigh Anderson and Kelsie Lynn Anderson both of Savannah, GA; second mother, Glenna Cremeans of Salt Rock, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
